MGHSHL Kicks Off Exciting 2024-2025 Season with Virtual Meeting

The Michigan Girls High School Hockey League (MGHSHL) officially launched its 2024-2025 season with a dynamic virtual Fall Kickoff Meeting on September 30th. Teams from across the league joined the Zoom call with energy and excitement as the season gets underway.

Big News on MHSAA Membership
The highlight of the meeting was a special appearance from Cody Inglis, Assistant Director of the MHSAA, who discussed the exciting potential for the MGHSHL to join the Michigan High School Athletic Association. Teams were buzzing at the prospect, recognizing how this could elevate girls' high school hockey in Michigan. The energy was high, and this possibility has everyone looking forward to a bright future!

League Updates & New Rules
Troy United’s return this season was confirmed, and new league rules, such as the 24-hour GameSheet upload requirement and mandatory neck laceration protectors, were reviewed to keep the season running smoothly and safely.

What’s Next?
With practices starting October 28th and committees working hard on State Playoffs, College Showcase, Social Media and Awards, this season promises to be one of the best yet. The next board meeting is set for October 14th—stay tuned for more exciting updates!
