Showcase Schedule Released

 

Fraser, MI — January 10, 2026 — The Michigan Girls High School Hockey League (MGHSHL) is proud to announce its 2nd Annual College Showcase & Skills Competition, set to take place on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Big Boy Arena in Fraser, Michigan.

This premier event will unite all 21 MGHSHL varsity teams, along with one JV team, for a full day of high-level competition and skill development. Designed to maximize exposure, the Showcase brings Michigan’s top girls’ high school hockey talent together under one roof, offering unmatched convenience for college coaches and scouts.

The day will feature continuous game play across three rinks, highlighting team systems, pace, and competitive intensity. The event will conclude with a Skills Competition beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Priority Rink, where selected players from each team will compete in:

  • Fastest Skater

  • Hardest Shot

  • Agility Race

  • One-on-One Shootout

“This is one of the most exciting events on our league calendar,” said Paul Buscemi, Showcase Committee Chairperson and MGHSHL Board of Directors member. “It’s an incredible opportunity for our athletes to showcase their skills in front of college coaches, and the skills competition continues to be a fan favorite.”

The event is open to the public, welcoming families, fans, and community members to support girls’ hockey in Michigan. The Showcase plays a critical role in connecting student-athletes with collegiate programs while celebrating the growth and talent within the league.
